Mrs. Bessie Simon

Bessie Bernice Simon, 98, died peacefully on November 1, 2018 in San Diego,CA. She was our matriarch and guiding light.

Throughout her life, Bessie Simon was a God fearing woman. She was a mother, neighbor and friend that we would all liked to have had. And in her death, we, her children, her grand children, extended family members, and friends, celebrated the wonderful person she was. We are certain, that as, "the good and faithful servant” she was, she now enjoys her everlasting reward in Heaven with her Lord and Savior.

She is preceded in death by her husband Curtis Simon, her son Waymon Polk and granddaughter Davina McClendon.

She is survived by daughters, Brenda Cameron (Colorado Springs, CO), Bernetta McClendon (Austin, TX) Breolla Netherly (San Diego, CA) and Arnetta Simon (Longview, TX).

Open visitation will be held on Friday, November 16th in Longview, TX at. Citizens Funeral Home from 1 pm - 6 pm. The Funeral will be held on Saturday, November 17th Longview, TX at Galilee Baptist Church at 11 am.
