Mr. Billy C. Stansell was born on October 8, 1958 to the parentage of Mr. Lloyd and Mrs.
Lillie M. Dudley Stansell in Longview, Texas.
He attended public schools in Kilgore until the family moved to Longview in 1973.
He continued his education in Longview public schools upon graduating from LHS,Class of 1977.
At an early age, Mr. Billy attended New Light Baptist Church in Kilgore until the family joined
Fredonia Baptist Church under the pastorage of Reverend Charles E. Gray, where he
participated in Sunday School,Youth Choir,BTU and Vacation Bible School.
As a young individual, Mr. Billy acquired nicknames by his peers, ʺThe Six Million Dollar Manʺ,
being stocky playing football also Billy *White Shoes* Johnson due to his speed, as he ran pretty fast. Elders in the community would call his name, offering him a quarter, just to watch him run.
As a young adult, Mr. Billy attended various churches in Longview worshipping the Lord. He was
employed at Wesley McCabe United Methodist Church and Legendary Farm until his health
began to fail.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, brother Barron W. Stansell and both his
paternal and maternal grandparents.
Mr. Stansell leaves to cherish his memories two brothers,Garry L.Stansell and Vincent E. Stansell both of Kilgore, TX; a sister, Lavoyce Ann Henderson of Longview, TX; two uncles,Curtis(Betty)
Dudley, Argusta (Lula) Stansell; aunts,Dorothy S. Poe Johnson, Rena Scott,Shirley (Sylvester) Marshall and Mary (Rev. Charles E.) Gray;3 nieces, 5 nephews,cousins and friends
