Services for Mrs. Elsie Ruth Harris will be Saturday, November 22 at 11am at T.L. & Jewel Knighton Chapel located at Citizens Funeral Home.
Ms. Elsie Ruth Harris was born January 23, 1921 to the parentage of Anthony and Quatie Harris.
Ms. Ruth was employed at Snow White Cleaners for many years. She was known for the weekend food plates she catered from her home kitchen. The Angel of Silence entered the room on November 13,2014. Peacefully, the humble spirit of Ms. Ruth Harris slipped away to cross the frontier that divides time and eternity. Embarking on her journey to the place where pain and suffering will be no more.
She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted son, Charles Spencer and a very special loved one, Nina Jean McFarland, of Longview, Tx. Nine grandchildren, Cemi Spencer of Washington, D.C. ;Precious, Reeder, Rashundra and Shenita Spencer all of Dallas,Tx. ; Amy Douglas, Tyrone ,Kenny and Chris McFarland all of Longview, Tx. ; 22 great-grandchildren and 33 great-great-grandchildren.
