My Story

What happened?

Thursday, April 15, 2021, in the wee hours of the morning,
before the break of dawn my life was taken. I was taken to Good
Shepherd Hospital around 3:56 AM, dead on arrival. My tired, worn
and humble spirit crossed into the beyond which divides time and
eternity. I've moved into the Great Beyond to receive my crown at
the earthly age of 47.

Domestic violence is real.

I'm George Edward Stoker IV, Kilo, to most. I was born on May 27,
1973 in Dallas, TX to Dianne and George Stoker.
I accepted Christ, here at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist
Church at an early age!
I'm the “baby”. My brothers are Kirkland and Dexter and my
sister is Demetria (Lucy) Freeman.
Now I'm walking up the King's Highway. Those I see who've
preceded me in death are my Mama, Mrs. Dianne Taylor Stoker,
my Paw Paw and Granny, RV and Verdie Lee Taylor, my Big
Daddy and Big Momma, George and Valerie Stoker and as my
tears are flowing, it's my cousin like my brother, Earlan Taylor!
Uncle James Stoker, Aunt Joyce Stoker.
“OH WHAT A TIME, when all God's children get together, What a time, What a
Time!”

I received my education in both Hallsville and Longview ISD. I
was a jack's man, of all trades. I could sing, I mean, I could blow!
Some say “It's A Family Thang”. Me and Old Skool also came up
with "Hey Lil Mama". Oh, I'm halfway famous now!
If I broke it I could fix it, "George Stoker Handyman Business"!!
My singing role model was Uncle Perry. We've been singing non‐stop!
We've been singing "I dreamed of a city called Glory, so bright
and so fair and when I entered the gates I cried HOLY, the
Angels all welcome me there". They carried me from mansion to
mansion and Oh the sights I saw but I said I want to see my
Jesus. The one who died for us all."

Oh, What a time I'm having, I'm of the Heavenly Choir now!

I was once married to Mrs. Shemece Scott and unto our union
was born one of the loves of my life, Miss Verdisha Stoker.
You can tell, she's a Daddy's Girl and I love her. She blessed me and gave me the title of Paw Paw to little Miss Ava and Mr. August! My Grandbabies ARE my everything. "Precious Lord Take My Hand." Daddy's proud of you daughter. I was also blessed a second time to become the father to Mr. GeorgeEdward Stoker V, my son by Ms. Tina Ward. I can't stop smiling seeing him in his football uniform! Daddy's proud of
you son! Continue to reach for the stars. You're on the right road.

I leave to cherish my memories: My daughter, Verdisha Stoker
(Jacorey Datroy Key) and son, George Stoker V of Longview,TX;
My grandbabies, little Miss Ava LaShayne Sanchez and
baby August Jessiah Key; My brothers, Kirkland Stoker and
Dexter Stoker (Charlsie Stoker); My sister, Demetria "Lucy"
Freeman of Longview, TX; My dad, George Edward Stoker III
and extended family of Fort Worth, TX; My bonus sons, Mose
Jeffery, Quay Russell, DeNerian McIntyre, and Javonte Williams
of Longview, TX; My loving nieces, Courtney, Taylor, Jazmine,
Gabriell, Ezmee, Brianna, Brittney, Jala, Asia, Charity, Ambree,
Laqisha, Tiffany, LaKeitha, and Raelah; My nephews, Dextrell
(Kaylah), Quinton, Auriee, Kyrain, Ra'Kemeion, Legend, Paxton,
Kamon, Jadavian, and Kasen; My special cousins, Tonya
Williams, Michelle Stoker, Adrain Taylor and Elliott Taylor and
Valerie Newhouse. I also leave a host of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
