Ivy Lane Horton
Born into this world May 23rd, 1960 – Born into Eternal Rest, May 29, 2018
Ivy was born in Gilmer, Texas to Emma & Clifton Horton and was one of 23 siblings.
Ivy’s siblings were brothers Nathan, Lathan, Brady, Planell, Hubert, Clifton Wayne, Eddie Lee, Jimmy, John, Price, Baxton, David, Johnny and Dennis. His sisters were Sue, Eva Dorothy, Dorothy Jean, Susie, Gloria, Neva, Carnita and Stephanie.
Ivy went to New Diana High School in Gilmer, Texas and briefly attended Dominguez High School in Compton, California. He is an Army veteran and served our country from 1978 to 1980. He relocated from Texas to California in the early 1980s and later met Debra Johnson. They began a family and gave birth to 4 beloved children: Quinton, April, Patrice and Trenton. He also has a beautiful grandbaby girl named Trinity Rose. Ivy relocated back to Texas in the early 2000s.
Ivy was a passionate man who fought hard and loved even harder. He had a unique personality and was very head strong in his beliefs. Ivy loved being on the lake fishing and enjoying a beverage. He also loved music and collecting old cars and restoring them.
Ivy was very charming and left a lasting impression with anyone he met. He always liked to joke around and laugh with his loved ones. He leaves behind the lesson of fighting for what you believe in no matter what and never settle.
Ivy had a large family including many siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who are like family.
Ivy Lane Horton was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.
