Mrs. Johnnie B. Miles

Johnnie Bernell Miles was born October 16, 1940 in Tucker, Texas to the late Melvina and Jesse James Lockridge.
She attended Tucker Public Schools.
At an early age, she gave her life to Christ. She and her family were members of Tucker C.O.G.I.C. many years.
She later married Joe Miles and relocated to Corpus Christi, Texas where she attended Hatch St. C.O.G.I.C. In 1973, she and her family moved to Longview, Texas and moved her membership to New Zion Baptist Church where she remained throughout her years.
She enjoyed being a housewife and was known for her cooking. She loved taking care of children and her husband. She was preceded in death by 6 brothers: Van, Jessie, James Jr., Willis James, Marvin, Willie Lee Lockridge; 6 sisters: Elizabeth Darden, Eula B. Foster, Leslie Gibson-Reeves, Margaret Jean Downie, Bula Lee Lockridge, Mary Hughes; 1 daughter-in-law, Rose Miles and 1 grandson, Jordan Miles.

She leaves to cherish her memories, husband Joe Miles; 5 children: Joe Malcolm Miles of Dallas, TX, Patricia Miles of Bossier City, LA, Princess Miles, Dorean Miles and Cassandra (Jose) Reynaga of Longview, TX; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
