Mr. Lewis Smith

Mr. Lewis Charles "Jimmy" Smith was born June 21, 1948, to the late Daniel and Bessie Smith in Marshall, Texas. Jimmy attended Marshall School District and later moved to Longview, Texas where he began working at Webb Wheel as a machinist. Nothing was more important to him than his family. Jimmy had a passion for singing and whistling.

Jimmy departed this life on Wednesday, September 11, 2019. He was preceded in death by mother Bessie Smith and father Daniel Smith, brothers Melvin Hutchinson, Clyde Hutchinson, and Alton Smith of Marshall. Texas; Henry Smith of Longview, Texas; Lynnwell Smith of Dallas, Texas; one sister Ettie Pearl Haynes of Lubbock, Texas; one step-daughter LaShon Head of Longview, Texas.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: Elliot and Shanda Head of Longview, Texas; step-children Chevette Brown(Desmond) and Elfonzo Head(Stephanie) of Longview, Texas: grand-children Ellesse and Heaven Head of Dallas, Texas; Dyiron and Terry Lee and Jerome Darden Jr. of Longview, Texas: one brother James Earl Hutchinson of Marshall, Texas: five sisters, Verna Thornton, Yvonne Wheeler(Clarence), Debra Gray and Angela Pierce of Longview, Texas.; Carolyn Pilot(Charles) of Los Angeles, California: one aunt Willie Mae Washington of Marshall, Texas: one uncle Eddie Jennings, Kansas City Missouri and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
