Tracy Renard Jones was born to Booker T. and Mildred Jones on September 3, 1955 in Longview, Texas. He was the second born of four siblings :Ruby Lene, Darrell Lynn(Bubba), William Raye and Booker T. Jr.
Tracy confessed and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and continued to share the word with his family throughout his life.
He attended Longview Senior High in Longview, Texas. He then enlisted in the Armed Forces in October of 1973 where he proudly served his country until 1977. Tracy worked for the United States Postal Office, Halliburton and eventually retired from Weatherford Construction in 2013.
He married Lana Gail in December 1980 and to this union were born Toni Yolanda, Shamillian LaSha and Dantreill Nicole.
Tracy served in the community in many capacities throughout his life including the "Southside Reunion Committee" striving to keep the community strong and close knit. He loved Maze featuring Frankie Beverly and passed his love of music on to his children and grandchildren. His character and personality matched the band he loved: positive, powerful and good for the soul. He was a loving and devoted father and friend dedicating his life to giving and caring for all he came in contact with. He was a selfless person who gave love and care to others regardless of who or what they were or had. He will forever be loved and missed.
He leaves behind to reflect and cherish his memories: brother, Booker T. Jones of Dallas, Texas; daughters: Shamillian (Hason) Mathis and Dantreill Nicole Jones of Grand Prairie, Texas; grandchildren: Valencia Lataye; Hason Renard Jr.;Hezekiah Christian; Kennedi Sanaa; Talayeh Idora; Keaton Samaad and Israel Ambrose ;nieces: Mary Jo Lilly; Debbie (Aunt Duck) Parker and Begona Parker; great nephews: Mario Pierce and Kedrick Lilly; special friends: Lonnie (Regina) Murphy; Eugene King; Elvis Lacy and Paint.
His father Booker T. ,mother Mildred, brothers, Darrell Lynn (Bubba) and William Raye Walke, sister Ruby Lene Jones and daughter Toni Yolanda preceded him in death.
