Victor Bernard Lister, “Big Time” childhood nickname, was born February 17, 1961 to loving parents, Mr. Emory Lister and Gloria Carr-Lister.
Victor graduated from Hallsville High School where he was a multi-sport athlete, he was always a “Bobcat”. After graduation, Victor enlisted into the U.S. Navy where he excelled at serving his country.
Victor “Big Time” was a well-traveled, industrious man with a ready smile for all who knew him.
Victor and Peggy Lister-Hardeman welcomed their son, Joshua O'Mar Lister into this world on July 23, 1997. Josh as Victor called him, was the apple of his father's eye.
Victor departed this life on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 2:03 a.m. He was preceded in death by his mother Gloria Carr-Lister and sister Myra Lynn Lister.
He leaves to cherish his memory, father, Emory L. Lister; son, Joshua; brothers, Elton, Darren and Derek (Toya); his loving sister, Jeanetta Denton; a special long-time friend, Sheila Watts, all of Longview, TX. Victor also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, great-nephews/nieces, other relatives and friends.
