Willie Frank Jones was born May 14, 1946 in Pineville, Louisiana to the parentage of Rosa Lee and Luther Jones Jr.
He served faithfully at Newman united Methodist A.M.E. Church in Alexandria, Louisiana. He served as Candle Lighter, Jr. Usher and sang in the Children's Choir.
Willie moved to Longview in 1960, and attended Maggie B. Hudson Jr. High and Mary C. Womack.
Later he joined the United Reserves and honorably discharged; spent the next 4 years in the United States Air Force, honorably discharged.
He worked as a brakeman, then became a railroad engineer, a truck driver, and a licensed CNA at Veteran's hospital in Florida.
Later in life Willie joined the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Willie was loved
by all who knew him.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, sisters Jean Evelyn Earls and Ester Diane Porter.
Willie is survived by a special daughter and grand-daughter, Darla S. Hanson and Jade; sister Cheryl Seastrunk (Clyde); Roy L. Follins; niece Cheryl Taylor; nephews, Baron Earls, Joseph Seastrunk (Bernadette), Mason Earls and a host of other nieces, nephews and friends.
