Deacon Wilson Haynes Sr.

Wilson grew up helping his parents farm and attended school in Jewett ,Texas. He attended St. Paul-Shiloh High School and Graduated May 28, 1942. He was then drafted and served faithfully for his country in The United States Army. After serving in the military he attended Prairie View A&M University and received his Bachelors of Art degree. He then moved to Longview where he helped with a "School for Veterans". He married Miss Patsy Sebron May 5, 1948. They were blessed with a son that they named Wilson Haynes Jr. They were married 55 years.

Wilson is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Sebron Haynes: his parents Walter and Iola Simpson; sisters Lessie Frank, Luora Patterson, Loretta McKinney, Esther Scott and Bellzola Haynes. brothers; Willie and Noble Haynes.

Wilson leaves to embrace his precious memories; son Wilson Haynes Jr. of Longview,Tx. grandson Gabriel Sublett of Minnesota , his great grandson Javon Sublett of Longview, Tx., his blessed and devoted niece/caregiver Phyllis Sebron Lomax (Hershel) of Longview, Tx., 26 loving nieces and nephews, one supportive sister-in-law Vernell Sebron of Longview,,Tx., one admirable brother-in-law Johnny Frank of Houston, Tx, a host of loving family members, Galilee Baptist Church and dear friends.
